Terrible accident Thursday, at the end of the afternoon, on the Municipality of Bruz, south-west of Rennes. A 7-year-old child was killed by drowning in the Vau-Gaillard pond. He would have fallen into the water while playing by the pond with a friend, shortly before 6 p.m. It was the latter who raised the alarm.
The firefighters and the Samu arrived quickly, they were able to recover the boy’s body but never managed to resuscitate him, reports West France.
An investigation is opened to determine the precise circumstances of the tragedy. A psychological cell has also been set up for relatives of the victim and witnesses.
