This time, the brawl took place, on this Monday morning, in the immediate surroundings of the Guillaume Apollinaire high school in Thiais (Val-de-Marne) and, as an epilogue, the death of a 16-year-old teenager, stabbed in the chest. One of his comrades, also born in 2006, was injured in the thigh in what looks like a punitive expedition. According to the first elements of the investigation revealed Monday afternoon by Stéphane Hardouin, the public prosecutor of Créteil, the drama was tied to the opening of the establishment.
Shortly after 8 a.m., the police arrived at the scene of the attack on the two high school students involving a group of five to ten people. The first victim, from the Grignons district in Thiais and affected in the region of the heart, was found dead. Another injury to the hand attests that she tried to defend herself, in vain. The second was transported in serious condition to the Henri Mondor hospital in Créteil, without being able to be heard by the investigators of the departmental service of the judicial police.

“The first observations and hearings of direct witnesses revealed that the group of attackers was on the lookout at the corner of two streets, specifies the prosecutor Hardouin. The attackers would have pursued the victims for a few tens of meters, one of them would then have used a knife. » Two soft drinks, a broken golf club, a piece of wood found abandoned on the spot testify to the desire of the protagonists to do battle. A knife, discovered 300 meters away, could complete this warlike panoply. A flash investigation identified several suspects and arrested a 16-year-old, named Abdelmalek from police sources, at 10:10 a.m. at his home in Choisy-le-Roi, a neighboring town home to a rival gang to that of Thiais.
“Manifest” ambush
“The ambush is obvious,” insisted Stéphane Hardouin, whose prosecution has opened proceedings for “homicide and attempted voluntary homicide in an organized gang”. Referring to a “context”, the prosecutor of Créteil recalled that, last Friday, at 9 p.m., the police had “intervened for about fifteen individuals, some of whom were carrying knives and hammers, who were heading towards the stop bus from Thiais towards Choisy”. The investigations had made it possible to confuse four suspects, an adult and three minors, referred this Sunday for “participation with a weapon in a crowd”.

It is for this same reason, but also for the facts of “aggravated violence” committed in May 2021, that the person in custody is already known to justice. Aged 15 at the time, this potential repeat offender had since been the subject of proceedings before a juvenile judge and an indictment for “aggravated violence”, with a ban on appearing in Orly or Thiais, “except for the needs of his schooling”. “The defendant had himself filed a complaint for violence committed on December 16, during a brawl in Thiais,” said the prosecutor. Suffice to say that a scent of vendetta had been floating in the sector for weeks. The two victims were hitherto unknown to justice.
