A serious accident occurred on Sunday, in the early evening, during the feast of Manduel, in the Gard. A 13-year-old teenager, who came with his father to attend a traditional bull release, was violently struck and thrown into the air by one of the animals which deviated from its path. According to
France 3 Occitanie, the accident allegedly occurred while the victim was standing on the steps of a monument, in an area of the route free of barriers.
The teenager, who suffers from a head trauma, lost consciousness but regained consciousness when he was taken care of by the firefighters. He was taken to hospital in serious condition.
The other activities planned for Sunday evening in Manduel have been canceled.
