A 10 meter high geyser after a pipe burst

It was a little after 6 a.m. on Monday morning when a large geyser of water escaped from the ground of boulevard Volclair, which connects boulevard Henri-Fréville to the Triangle, in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine). According to the firefighters, the water was “ten or even fifteen meters high” on the public road. Alerted, the latter tried to control the major leak with the support of the water service.

It would be a priori a rupture of pipe which would have caused this important leak. The network was cut upstream in order to limit losses and carry out repairs. It is not yet known how many households are deprived of water.
