Child is hit by a 150 kilo stone and dies
A sandstone is supposed to be transported away – but before that happens, it tips over and fatally injures a child. The police are now investigating.
A seven-year-old child was hit by a 150-kilogram boulder in Baden-Württemberg and was fatally injured. Despite resuscitation efforts by relatives and the emergency services, the child died on site on Saturday evening, the police said.
Accordingly, the two-meter-long sandstone that was prepared for removal tipped over behind a residential building in Appenweier and injured the child who was in the immediate vicinity. The police are investigating the cause of the accident. An expert was called in on the orders of the public prosecutor.
