Stefan Mross continues to moderate “Always on Sundays”
Sunday mornings will remain an important date for pop fans next summer: “Always on Sundays” will continue. There’s one thing that shouldn’t be missed – and he’ll be celebrating an anniversary in 2024.
SWR did not want to say how long the contract with Mross runs and referred to confidentiality agreements. Mross was not immediately available for comment. Next year will be his 20th year presenting the show.
“Always on Sundays” regularly brings together an audience of millions in front of the receivers. This year, twelve live programs were produced from an open-air stage in Europa-Park Rust near Freiburg and broadcast on ARD on Sunday mornings in the summer.
Appearances by stars from the pop scene
Stars from the pop scene appeared and sometimes also sang with presenter Mross. There were regular activities in which the local audience was involved.
The fact that Mross was allowed to moderate the show this summer was in jeopardy in the spring. The Leipzig district court issued a penalty order against the pop star in November 2022 after there was said to have been a physical altercation between Mross and a young man in a hotel. The SWR then examined the cooperation intensively.
