Prime Minister Jean Castex announced this Sunday the withdrawal from the LREM list in the first round of the regional elections in Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur, for the benefit of the outgoing LR president of the region, Renaud Muselier, in an interview with JDD.
I take note of the Prime Minister’s statement @JeanCASTEX, and congratulate me.
The voice of the rally against the extremes is that of reason, and common sense. With one goal, one obsession: our region, first and foremost! #notreregionfirst pic.twitter.com/NljVMrbrKl– Renaud Muselier (@RenaudMuselier) May 2, 2021
The Secretary of State in charge of disabled people Sophie Cluzel, leader designated by LREM in the region “and representatives of the parliamentary majority will integrate the device led by Renaud Muselier”, said the head of government, implying that the two lists could merge. Contacted by AFP, Renaud Muselier refused to confirm this merger of the two lists, content to “take note” and “to welcome” the announcement of the Prime Minister.
