As a guest on James Corden’s The Late Late Show, Hugh Grant has reluctantly revealed which of his films he is most ashamed of.

In his four-decade career as an actor and dog eye expert, Hugh Grant (62) has made countless films – including rom-com gems like “Notting Hill”, “Bridget Jones” or “Love Actually”. In the recent issue of “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts”, the culinary truth-or-dare segment of James Corden’s (44) “The Late Late Show”, Grant was asked to name the strip he would most like to erase from his resume. After slight hesitation, he made an understandable choice.

In the moody group, which also included Grant’s “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” colleague Chris Pine (42), a shepherd’s pie made of worms and mayo ensured that the Brit provided information. At first, however, he tried to sidestep the question, joking that if he had to name every film he was ashamed of, he would “completely shred his résumé”: “For decades, I’ve specialized in being bad.”

“Small budget, terrible wig!”

However, one last look at the disgusting mixture draped in front of him, which he would otherwise have had to eat, was enough for the film title “The Lady and the Highwayman” to bubble out of him. The adventure film produced for TV in 1989 and set in the 17th century was released in Germany under the name “Endangered Love – The Secret of Silver Blade”.

Just looking at the DVD cover suggests that Grant was telling the truth. “I’m a bandit in it and it’s supposed to be sexy. Small budget, terrible wig!” he summarized his experience at the time. However, he immediately followed up with an apology to his “wonderful colleagues” who worked with him on it. When asked which Chris Pine strip he finds really bad, Grant refused to say – the gentleman preferred to drink sausage water.
