Benjamin Goller will leave Werder Bremen in January. The 23-year-old is said to have options in the 2nd Bundesliga.

SV Werder Bremen will probably part ways with Benjamin Goller in January. The 23-year-old apparently has several options in the 2nd Bundesliga and now wants to find a permanent new club after several loans.

In the pre-season, Benjamin Goller was seen as a potential surprise for the upcoming season at SV Werder Bremen. The right winger, who until then hadn’t actually played a major role in those responsible’s planning, drew attention to himself with excellent performances in the pre-season and seemed ready to take off in Bremen.

However, an ankle injury threw Goller out of step again and the effect of the preparation fizzled out. Six months later there is not a minute of competitive play for the pros in Goller’s books. Everything indicates that the 23-year-old will leave the club permanently in the winter.

After Goller was loaned out by Werder three times in the last three years (twice to KSC, once to Darmstadt), both sides are now aiming for a permanent farewell. In the summer, a transfer from Goller to Karlsruhe failed due to financial reasons.

In the shadow of an expiring contract at the end of the season, Goller would now only have to pay a small sum of a few hundred thousand euros. To the table football according to the 23-year-old, there are currently three options in the 2nd Bundesliga, and the attacking player should also tend to stay in Germany.

Dudu should also go – Zetterer should get a new contract

In addition to Goller, the third goalkeeper, Eduardo dos Santos Haesler, is also likely to leave the club in January. For the keeper, called Dudu, there should have been a request from the third division club VfL Osnabrück.

While Dudu is supposed to leave SV Werder, the tendency for reserve keeper Michael Zetterer is more of a comparison. Talks about an extension of the expiring contract are currently taking place.
