A youngster rescued a seven-year-old from the Isar in need. The young non-swimmer had previously jumped into the river with a ten-year-old, the police said. The youngster happened to pass the place near the Thalkirchner bridge with his dog, jumped into the water with his clothes on and rescued the helpless boy. This was then taken to hospital along with the other child. A police patrol drove the soaked rescuer home after the incident on Thursday. The Munich police expressly warned against going into water without adequate swimming skills.
