The mother of the family, who was on Brune beach with her companion and her children, was allegedly attacked in the toilet at the back of the beach restaurant. She received first aid on site before being transferred to CH Annecy Genevois.
The alleged assailant was quickly brought under control by several witnesses to the scene, including a divisional commissioner who was on vacation. The suspect, who could suffer from psychiatric disorders, according to the first elements of the investigation, was handed over to the gendarmes.
