500 Marseille doctors call for vaccination

In a column published today in Provence, more than 500 doctors from the Public Assistance of Marseille Hospitals (AP-HM) have launched an appeal for vaccination, while the inhabitants of the region are “among the least vaccinated in France”.

“When you are sick, when your children, your parents need us, you know how to find us, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. In our turn, we are counting on you ”, plead the doctors in the columns of Provence.

More than 500 Covid patients in the region’s emergency units

The AP-HM caregivers draw up a dramatic assessment: more than 500 Covid patients in intensive care units in the region, transfers to Brittany, Paris or Metz, reception capacities exceeded.

And one observation: “in intensive care units, the Covid patients we treat are not vaccinated in nearly 90% of cases”. “These women and men tell us that they have waited, are afraid of vaccines, do not believe the TV, no longer believe the experts and listen to social networks that worry them. Or quite simply, they do not know why but they are “against” “, deplore the signatories. “The vaccine does not prevent you from being sick or from transmitting the Covid. But it avoids the serious forms ”, they recall.
