St. Pauli remains at the top of the second division – HSV’s home series ended

St. Pauli is making a mistake at the bottom of the table, Hamburger SV is still lacking consistency. Fürth cannot benefit from HSV’s mistake. Hertha BSC is still on the way up.
The Kiezkickers remained undefeated, but were unable to really take advantage of their city rivals Hamburger SV’s defeat against SC Paderborn.
In front of 15,741 spectators in the sold-out stadium at Bremer Brücke, Jackson Irvine gave St. Pauli the lead in the 6th minute. Substitute Haralambos Makridis rewarded Osnabrück’s courageous performance with a deserved equalizer after the break (82′).
City rivals Hamburger SV suffered another setback after seven home wins in a row and the exit from the DFB Cup during the week with a 1:2 (1:1) draw against SC Paderborn. On Sunday, HSV could even slip to fourth place. Despite Laszlo Benes’ opening goal (11th minute), the hosts still gave up the game. Filip Bilbija (21st) and Ilyas Ansah with his first second division goal (62nd) ensured Paderborn’s fourth away win.
Kaiserslautern loses under Grammozis
SpVgg Greuther Fürth could have benefited from the Hanseatic team’s mistake by jumping to second place, but had to accept the equalizer from Mo El Hankouri (90′) in stoppage time after Tim Lemperle’s 1-0 lead (69′). .
Even with new coach Dimitrios Grammozis, 1. FC Kaiserslautern was unable to end its negative streak in the league.
