The battle for the top spots in the 2nd Bundesliga remains exciting. Paderborn has been at the top of the table for three matchdays, but they feel the competition breathing down their necks. The HSV is moving up.

The top teams in the 2nd Bundesliga were not able to build on their good starting positions.

League leaders SC Paderborn had to settle for a 2-2 (1-0) lead after taking a 2-1 lead at FC St. Pauli in injury time (90+2). Chaser Darmstadt 98 also gambled away the win in a 2-2 (1-0) win over 1. FC Heidenheim on Saturday. Tim Kleindienst saved the draw for the guests with his goal in the 82nd minute.

Despite losing points, Paderborn and Darmstadt are still in first and second place with 13 points.
