Third in the table won 1-0 (0-0) against Arminia Bielefeld who had been relegated to the Bundesliga with a goal from Stefan Schimmer (70th minute). For East Westphalia, threatened with relegation, it was the third home defeat in a row.

In the high-risk game at the Millerntor between FC St. Pauli and Hansa Rostock, the hosts achieved a 1-0 (1-0) win and thus achieved their fifth win in a row. Jackson Irvine scored the goal for the Kiez-Kicker (26th). Due to increased pyrotechnics, both halves had to be kicked off with a delay.

With the fifth away win, 1. FC Magdeburg has achieved an important success in the relegation battle and extended Hannover 96’s negative run. Lower Saxony, without a win in six games, lost the game 1-2 (0-0) with goals from Baris Artik (48′) and Luc Castaignos (61′). Louis Schaub (69th) only managed to score the goal.
