Greuther Fürth and Arminia Bielefeld remain overwhelmed in the 2nd Bundesliga. Bielefeld cannot win even with a new head coach. Fürth is also still waiting for the first threesome.

New coach, old worries. Even with Daniel Scherning, the successor to his predecessor Uli Forte, who was dismissed on Wednesday, Arminia Bielefeld remains without a win in the 2nd Bundesliga and is stuck in the bottom of the table.

After all, the East Westphalians, with their new head coach, achieved a happy 1:1 (1:1) at home strong 1. FC Heidenheim after Frederik Jäkel was sent off (75th minute) with a man down. Without their injured captain Fabian Klos, it was only enough for Robin Hack’s equalizer from 30 meters and great fighting resistance on Sunday, which is well worth seeing.

Scherning: “Team with a positive reaction”

“I’m glad we took something with us, that’s worth a lot in our situation. It was an absolute willpower effort on our part and the team showed a positive reaction after falling behind,” said the new Bielefeld coach, who will be with his team at the meets Eintracht Braunschweig in a basement duel next Friday.

The second Bundesliga relegated team, SpVgg Greuther Fürth, had to accept a setback after the last two draws and lost 1:3 (1:0) to promoted 1. FC Kaiserslautern despite an early 1-0 lead by Tobias Raschl (13th).

In the high-risk game in the Ostseestadion between Hansa Rostock and FC St. Pauli, where riots had often occurred in the past, the focus was on the sporting dispute. The hosts celebrated their third win of the season with a 2-0 (2-0) win and improved to sixth place thanks to goals from Kai Pröger (84th) and John Verhoek (17th).

At the top of the table, the offensive artists of SC Paderborn and last year’s fourth SV Darmstadt 98 have established themselves with four wins from five games each. Darmstadt is on the way to establishing itself in the top group. “But we know how to deal with it sensibly,” said Darmstadt keeper Marcel Schuhen after the 2-1 win at Hamburger SV on Friday evening in a hectic game with four dismissals. It was the second defeat of the season for the ambitious HSV.

Kwasniok: “Good is not very good”

Paderborn’s coach Lukas Kwasniok also remained realistic after the game with the most goals so far in the 7-2 win against Holstein Kiel and did not want to call his team a candidate for promotion. “I said the team is good, but good is not very good. We always want to be a little bit better,” he said. With 18 goals so far, his team shows a lot of offensive power.

With the biggest away win in their second division history, Karlsruher SC made a 6-0 win at Jahn Regensburg forget their sleepy start to the season. “Everything was fine,” said KSC coach Christian Eichner, who is now undefeated in three games with his team. In addition to HSV, Fortuna Düsseldorf also missed a leap forward with the 2: 2 at newly promoted Braunschweig. “We had six points after two games and now have eight. The start is not that good,” said Fortuna’s captain Andre Hoffmann. For Eintracht it was the first point win of the season.
