A 22-year-old man is being investigated for attempted murder because he is said to have thrown a 34 kilogram e-scooter from a bridge in Nuremberg onto a meadow with children playing. With a fall height of eleven meters, the e-scooter only missed the children by a few meters, the Middle Franconia police headquarters announced on Monday in Nuremberg.
Alarmed police patrols encountered and arrested the suspect shortly after the crime on Sunday afternoon. The man was drunk and a breath test showed an alcohol content of just under two per thousand. At the request of the Nuremberg-Fürth public prosecutor’s office, the 22-year-old will be brought before the investigating judge, who will decide on possible pre-trial detention.
