The title of Lizzy Aumeier’s new program “Now more than ever!” is actually always up to date: Rebelling against abuses, the rigors of existence and stupidity and defying them – be it a pandemic, social injustice or war – is almost a full-time job.
Well, the cabaret artist, who has won various prizes and is also an experienced double bass player, will certainly have something to say with her spontaneity and disarming directness at her performance on Saturday, April 2nd in Ottobrunn – unabashed and pointed: As always, the Upper Palatinate native will also don’t take it easy on yourself, as your statement on the duration of the pandemic shows: “It’s not just me who feels after this time, like after a sports accident in which I swallowed a medicine ball!” Aumeier’s performance at the Wolf-Ferrari-Haus begins at 7:30 p.m.
April not only has a cabaret highlight in store for the audience in Ottobrunn at the beginning, but also towards the end: The “Amici Artium” competition for cabaret artists and comedians, which normally takes place in autumn and most recently had to be canceled twice due to the pandemic, will take place on April 1st Saturday, April 23rd, take the stage. From around 60 applications, initiator Bernd Seidel and his team have selected six artists who want to demonstrate their sharp tongues and comedic qualities in the Wolf Ferrari House. The cabaret artists that the audience will experience there come from Berlin, Cologne and near Munich, among others. In addition to a three-person expert jury, the spectators also have the opportunity to vote for the first three winners.
Since this is the 20th edition of the competition, which Martina Schwarzmann and Marcus H. Rosenmüller won, among others, there are additional attractions on the stage for the anniversary: the young folk music formation “Großstadt-Boazn” and the amazing paper manipulator Lorenzo Torres aka “Mr. Lo” show their skills.
