On the night of Saturday to Sunday, a festive evening turned into a tragedy in Indre-et-Loire. An investigation for voluntary homicide was opened after the death of a young adult in La Croix-en-Touraine while leaving a nightclub.
At around 7am on Sunday, “the Tours public prosecutor’s office was informed of the death on the public highway in Croix-en-Touraine of a young adult who had spent the evening in a nightclub,” Catherine Sorita-Minard, Tours public prosecutor, said on X.
Multiple wounds in the abdomen
The medical examiner “found that the victim had several wounds to the abdomen, chest and back, as well as bruises,” the magistrate continued, specifying that an autopsy will be carried out this Monday. According to West Francethe victim was 19 years old and died “after receiving several stab wounds.”
The investigation opened on the charge of voluntary homicide has been entrusted to the Amboise Research Brigade (BR). The perpetrator or perpetrators of the acts have not been arrested, the same source said on Sunday evening.
