16-year-old kills himself while driving car, passenger seriously injured

It was around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning when the Maine-et-Loire firefighters were called. On the RD53, two teenagers had just had a road accident near Saint-Philbert-du-Peuple, east of Angers. When they arrived on site, the emergency services discovered a damaged vehicle, which had rolled over several times after an unexplained exit from the road in a curve. While driving, firefighters discovered the lifeless body of a 16-year-old teenager. At his side, the passenger is hardly older. 17 years old, he is seriously injured, as reported West France.

Supported by firefighters, the young man was hospitalized in serious condition. According to the gendarmerie, quoted by the daily, his vital prognosis would not be engaged. An investigation was opened to try to determine the circumstances of the tragedy. Toxicological analyzes are in progress.
