A sober and elegant bathroom
Very zen, the minimalist bathroom remains a safe bet, which resists all trends. Although… If this season again, we fall for the white bathroom, we carefully avoid the total look – bright, but not sufficiently cozy. We work with white in combination with other colors, or even by combining different materials.
The tandem that always works? White and light gray, which softens the decor without harming the brightness. For the occasion, we focus on the concrete effect, always top trend, and which is just as stunning in a contemporary bathroom as in a Japandi or ethnic chic decor.
Black, gray, white… This season, we are happy to focus on simplicity, adopting neutral colors par excellence. The goal: to achieve a peaceful decor, but which does not lack personality. For that, we have fun with the tiling, alternating formats, finishes and effects.
This year, we are committed to making the bathroom cocooning, even if we opt for a sober, even minimalist design. We therefore prefer the ecru color to white. If we like it in total look, we love it in combination with a gray, a brown or a dark color, because it creates a contrast of great softness.
The black bathroom is becoming more essential this season than ever. It is true that among the major trends in the bathroom 2022, we note the high-tech atmosphere, which gives pride of place to lighted mirrors, and a particular taste for extremely refined pieces, especially in gold. And black offers an ideal setting for both of these trends!
The alternative to black in the bathroom is the essential charcoal gray, which will still be trendy in 2022. Whether it is to sublimate a contemporary decoration or to bring a sophisticated touch to a country decor chic, we must admit that this deep gray can do absolutely everything!
Telluric colors are among the must-haves of the year. Soft, cozy and sophisticated: we are particularly fond of brown in the bathroom, and we even dare its most intense variations.
A touch of color in the bathroom
If neutrals are still very trendy this year, the bathroom is not afraid to take color.
If the blue lightens gladly in the bedroom or in the living room, it is different in the bathroom. We therefore dare the deepest shades, such as navy blue, which we readily associate with white.
If you fall for lighter shades of blue, bet on the big color trend of the year: monochrome. Then associate a deep blue with a lighter shade. For a 100% trendy aesthetic, play with these shades to highlight the volumes, accentuating the shadows and light, or opt for Color Blocking.

Among the major 2022 trends in the bathroom, it’s hard to escape the wallpaper! To reconcile style and a fresh and serene atmosphere, nothing could be simpler: just opt for a palette full of freshness, by associating a rich blue and a more acid green.
This is certainly not a new kid, and yet: in 2022, green is more trendy than ever in the bathroom. If you haven’t already, then it’s still time to fall for the soft shades of green, borrowed directly from nature: sage green or olive green.
It was already trendy and this year, it is therefore only confirming: in 2022, dark green remains a safe bet in the bathroom. As long as you choose it dark… but not too much!
